The Whistler Slow Feeder Dog Bowl extends dinner time a little longer as it helps dogs that eat a bit too fast to slow down at a healthier, slower pace.
Using a slow feeder aids in preventing bloat and regurgitation.
What is Bloat ?
As the stomach fills with air, pressure builds, stopping blood from the hind legs and abdomen from returning to the heart.
Bloat can be caused from eating too quickly and/or eating after exercise. This is because swallowing large amounts of air while eating (as they are likely panting) causes too much air intake to the stomach.
The Whistler Slow Feeder Bowls come with non slip pads to reduce the bowl slipping around when your dog is chowing down on dinner.
